Bridge Jr. High Serve Night Pics

On Friday night our SRCStudent Jr. Highers went to Queens to work with La Jornada Ministries preparing food for distribution to those in need. They made over 500 bags of sweet potatoes (6,000 lbs!), and hundreds of bags of other kinds of food. We are so thankful for our amazing adult youth leaders and so proud for our awesome students who worked hard serving others in Jesus' name.

Andy Mineo Coming to Impact!

IMPACT RALLY is an annual student rally at the beginning of the school year that brings together hundreds of teenagers from all over Long Island. It is a night filled with an exciting speaker, great bands, and a chance to see what God is doing in the lives of students across the island. As a Christian teenager, it can sometimes feel isolating and lonely in your school, but at IMPACT we hope you are encouraged and pumped to be the light of the Gospel to your friends!

Featuring Christian Hip-Hop artist Andy Mineo! Andy has been featured with award winning Christian artist Lecrae and is passionate about bringing the love of God with New York. His new album "Formerly Known" is available on iTunes.

Special Guest Speaker, Seth Franco! In 2003 Seth became the first Caucasian Harlem Globetrotter since 1942! Now Seth travels the world inspiring others to "BOUNCE BACK" from hardship and "LIVE BIG" dreams! Seth has shared the stage with the likes of Kobe Byrant, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and other NBA AllStars! He has appeared on ESPN, BET, TNT, MSNBC, Comedy Central and more. Seth has worked with Universal Studios, NBA, The Harlem Globetrotters, and The US Department of Education.

We have purchased tickets at the cheapest price which you can purchase at ShelterRockChurch.com/students for just $15! This is a great event to invite some of your unchurched friends to, so buy a couple of tickets and bring a friend.

Georgia Mission Day 6

Yesterday after packing, cleaning, and a quick visit to the bookstore, we were off at 11:30am. We stopped by Chick-Fil-A and had lunch - the first time for many to enjoy the nectar of the chicken gods! There were no seats available, so we had lunch picnic style under the trees. We arrived at the airport right when we were hoping to, returned the rental vans, and got everyone checked in. We discovered that our flight had a 2 hour delay, so that gave us more time together. We got all the kids dinner, and the flight home was smooth. It was neat watching the lightning storms out the windows as we navigated around them. All luggage arrived and everyone was picked up by very happy parents.

Georgia Mission Day 5

Yesterday morning we loaded up and drove to another women's rehab center (by the way, yes, these have all been different rehab centers!) to help sort donations and do yard work. We were able to help the ladies out a lot.

We then went to the Tallulah Gorge and hiked down. It was stunningly beautiful! Hard work climbing back up, but well worth it. I told the team that sometimes you have to work hard to see something beautiful! We then drove back to the college, grabbed our swimming gear, and went to the Cannon's home for dinner, swimming, a concert by the Cannon boys, and a final night of sharing. Of course, we had to make a couple of videos as well. We got home at about 11:30pm and did some initial packing.

This morning we had breakfast then finished packing and cleaning. The team is now in devotions and then we are stopping by the Toccoa Falls College bookstore and heading home. It's been an incredibly awesome trip! Thanks for your prayers as we travel home today. See you all in just a few more hours!
